The apple has always been a “rock” in my life. Growing up, I dealt with issues of body image and eating disorders and I used the apple as a coping mechanism of sorts. It represented everything that I wanted to be in my life - strong, beautiful and an image of health. Now, I strive every day to live up to that and be the best person I can be. I was also born on 12/12, so 12 has always been a significant number in my life.

This is beautiful, but also, it’s an important reminder, because we tend to forget about men with EDs, and only talk about girls’ body image. Keep it up, you wonderful thing. Also, honey, you’re beautiful.
